What you’ll do
Join us at Sangam for an unforgettable event celebrating global friendship and leadership. You will join a worldwide movement of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, exploring the theme of World Thinking Day through activities and hands-on challenges designed to build your confidence and leadership skills.
Beyond that, experience the true meaning of 'global sisterhood' as you connect with local Guides and Scouts in Pune, as well as with other international visitors from different cultures. Share ideas and build bonds through collaborative games, campfire fun and stories over chai. As you expand your global network, you will also immerse yourself in the vibrant Indian culture surrounding the centre. From tasting authentic local cuisine to taking part in traditional ceremonies, this event blends the unique Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting experience with the rich, colourful spirit of India perfectly.
This is a Sangam LEADERSHIP event.

The Sangam Experience
The core of the Sangam experience is built around active participation, community, and cultural discovery. This event incorporates various engaging sessions and activities designed to build confidence and encourage participants to feel at ease outside their comfort zone. This is balanced with deep cultural immersion, where participants learn about Indian traditions, culture and cuisine while exploring the vibrant streets of Pune.
World Centres Immersion
World Centres are vibrant hubs where Girl Guides, Girl Scouts and people from different backgrounds and cultures come together to connect, learn and feel empowered to build their agency. Offering adventure and international experiences, World Centres are primarily 'brave spaces' for leadership development, providing transformative experiences that break down cultural barriers and encourage personal connections.
Community Interaction
Sangam currently works with over 20 community partners which include local NGOs addressing a wide range of social issues, as well as local Guiding and Scouting units and schools in Pune. During this event, there will be an opportunity to interact with them in a reciprocal approach, either through a short observational visit or a few-hour engagement, or through one or more days of community action projects.
