15 Sep 2028 - 21 Sep 2028
What you’ll do
Embark on a creative journey at Sangam, where Arts4Change invites you to explore the intersection of creativity and social advocacy. Your adventure begins with an immersive exploration of soul of Pune city and its community through interactive challenges, community dialogues and city tours that will enable you to gain an in-depth understanding of the local culture and approach to social issues. Alongside this exploration, you will explore Indian and global art techniques, reflecting on the historical power of “art as a message” and discovering how creativity has always been a vital tool for storytelling and social change.
In addition to personal discovery, this event emphasises the significance of service through group-led community initiatives. You will experience the deep satisfaction of 'collective impact', supporting a local cause by taking part in a community action project. Drawing on your passion for a social cause and your newly acquired artistic abilities, you will leave Sangam with the vision and self-assurance to be a creative catalyst for positive change in the world.
This is a Sangam LEADERSHIP event.

The Sangam Experience
The core of the Sangam experience is built around active participation, community, and cultural discovery. This event incorporates various engaging sessions and activities designed to build confidence and encourage participants to feel at ease outside their comfort zone. This is balanced with deep cultural immersion, where participants learn about Indian traditions, culture and cuisine while exploring the vibrant streets of Pune.
World Centres Immersion
World Centres are vibrant hubs where Girl Guides, Girl Scouts and people from different backgrounds and cultures come together to connect, learn and feel empowered to build their agency. Offering adventure and international experiences, World Centres are primarily 'brave spaces' for leadership development, providing transformative experiences that break down cultural barriers and encourage personal connections.
Community Interaction
Sangam currently works with over 20 community partners which include local NGOs addressing a wide range of social issues, as well as local Guiding and Scouting units and schools in Pune. During this event, there will be an opportunity to interact with them in a reciprocal approach, either through a short observational visit or a few-hour engagement, or through one or more days of community action projects.
