Join us as we come together at Nuestra Cabaña, the WAGGGS World Centre in Cuernavaca, Mexico, to celebrate World Thinking Day in a way you will never forget!

For more than a century, 22 February has brought Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from around the world into a moment of shared reflection, learning, growing and celebration. This year, we invite you to live that experience — not just virtually, but in a place filled with history, traditions, culture, and international sisterhood.

Global Connection Meets Local Culture: Throughout the week, you will engage with the WAGGGS World Thinking Day Activity Pack, exploring meaning behind our Movement’s symbols, history, and future path. How fun it will be to learn from, laugh and sing with, and grow alongside Guías de México (Mexican Girl Guides) through sharing story circles, workshops, cultural exchange, community action, and more
Nature, Wonder, and Impact: As part of our program, you will venture into the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCOdesignated World Heritage site, to witness the spectacular phenomenon of millions of endangered monarch butterflies overwintering in dense clusters high in the mountains. This is responsible ecotourism in action: observing, learning, and protecting

From dinner on the first day through breakfast on last day. We are capable of catering to special dietary requirements

Program

The weeklong program incorporates international connection with Global Girl Guides/Girl Scouts; programming with smallgroup workshops, leadership development, and ceremonies; cultural immersion through song, dance, storytelling, crafts, local Mexican traditions; environmental and sustainability competency; free time for participants to explore, swim, rest, or relax; reflection and growth via evening programs, sharing, leadership sessions

World Center Experience

Learning new crosscultural understanding and environmental awareness; while growing confidence through defined learning outcomes for the participants

Community Action

Through meaningful, handson service projects with local community partners in need. Make the world a better place as you support our local Mexican organizations

Nuestra Cabaña, located in the “City of Eternal Spring”, Cuernavaca, Mexico, is one of the five WAGGGS World Centres. Since opening in 1957 Nuestra Cabaña has welcomed guests from all around the world and offered a range of activities and programmes from environmental activism to girls’ leadership.
