Witness one of nature’s most breathtaking spectacles, the annual migration of millions of monarch butterflies, on an unforgettable overnight excursion with Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world.

Each year, monarchs travel thousands of miles from Canada and USA to their winter sanctuaries in Mexico. Hiking through high-altitude forests, you will be immersed in a natural wonderland where vibrant orange wings blanket the trees and the quiet is filled with the gentle flutter of millions of butterflies. The sight of these delicate creatures “dripping” from the trees, then taking flight in unison, is simply magical.

Nuestra Cabaña, located in the “City of Eternal Spring”, Cuernavaca, Mexico, is one of the five WAGGGS World Centres. Since opening in 1957 Nuestra Cabaña has welcomed guests from all around the world and offered a range of activities and programmes from environmental activism to girls’ leadership.
