What you’ll do

Where you part of the Nuestra Cabaña family as an event participant, volunteer or staff member? Do you miss the place where you developed and grew with your amazing team? Do you miss your amazing team? Dust off your adventure boots and reach out to your whole patrol, this is the event for you all!

In this event we invite past seasons of volunteers, interns or staff to come back and enjoy this magical place, remembering activities, places and enjoying old and new international guiding friendships. A different kind of adventure where you will have the chance to re-explore your favourite places in the city of eternal spring and discover some new ones. Reflect on the development of the Centre, its history and best programmes of your time there and the impact of international opportunities in our lives and friendships.

From dinner on the first day through breakfast on last day. We are capable of catering to special dietary requirements

Accommodation in comfortable dormitory-style shared lodging

Guided Day Trip(s)

May include Tepoztlán; Taxco; Jardines de México; Grutas de Cacahuamilpa; Xochicalco; Downtown Cuernavaca; OR Aquatic park (Destination(s) vary depending on a variety of factors present at the time of the event.)

Program

The weeklong program incorporates international connection with Global Girl Guides/Girl Scouts; programming with smallgroup workshops, leadership development, and ceremonies; cultural immersion through song, dance, storytelling, crafts, local Mexican traditions; environmental and sustainability competency; free time for participants to explore, swim, rest, or relax; reflection and growth via evening programs, sharing, leadership sessions

World Center Experience

Learning new crosscultural understanding and environmental awareness; while growing confidence through defined learning outcomes for the participants

Community Action

Through meaningful, handson service projects with local community partners in need. Make the world a better place as you support our local Mexican organizations

About Nuestra Cabana

Nuestra Cabaña, located in the “City of Eternal Spring”, Cuernavaca, Mexico, is one of the five WAGGGS World Centres. Since opening in 1957 Nuestra Cabaña has welcomed guests from all around the world and offered a range of activities and programmes from environmental activism to girls’ leadership.
