Menstrual Hygiene Day, is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about menstrual health and hygiene management. This year, the Kusafiri family is focused on promoting understanding, breaking taboos, and empowering individuals to recognise menstrual health as an important aspect of well-being. 

Kusafiri World Centre is part of the WAGGGS World Centre Family and offers virtual and face-to-face experiences that you can engage with. Kusafiri World Centre is all about culture and connection!

WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?

Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration is open to all willing to commit to creating a world where every individual has access to safe and dignified menstrual hygiene management.

If you are aged between 16 and 18 then please get permission from your parent/guardian to sign up and participate.

If you are aged under 16 then please sign up and attend with your parent/guardian.

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE INVOLVED?

Our virtual event will feature engaging activities designed to educate and inspire our communities, including activities like;

  • Celebrating and highlighting the work of Member Organisations within the Africa Region on Menstrual Health,
  • Hearing from Panel discussions with community leaders addressing challenges in menstrual health, 
  • Taking part in fun community engagement activities to foster bonding and open conversations.
